It's pretty obvious you don't really know anything about photography or Photoshop Americanahstan. He used flashes to make the colors pop out & add contrast. It's such a bummer when a technically awesome photo gets called out as being overly manipulated. I guess that's a product of the times: if it's good it must be fake, right?

It's always a great compliment to the lighting when a photo looks 'cut and pasted', so thanks!

Yeah, next to the huck with the bad landing. Funny story, right after this pic on the fun line, Brad packed up his gear and hit the drop you are talking about, pretty sure with his Dakine photo bag on...

Yeah - tell me about it! This wasn't even an elaborate set up. Maybe 5-10 minutes and 2 or 3 pushes back up to get the shot crisp. Brad kills it on the mid-ride photos!

Guys... the e13 reducer cups that a ton of people run use an Orbit IS headset. This headtube uses 1/2 of the reducer cup set (for the bottom) and the SAME bearing drops directly into the headtube at the top, which eliminates that pressed in top cup. When you need to buy new bearings they are the Cane Creek size standard bearing available from FSA or Cane Creek. Not hard, not custom and it does not limit your fork choices....

E2 is Trek's name for their tapered HT stuff... the overal concept has been used in the road bike market MUCH longer than any MTB frames.

You run a piece of wire through the opening, then you run the housing over it the other way. It isn't hard.

Dakarally - the guy in the photo is from the powdercoating shop next door. We do not have in house painting. I too was shocked that he wasn't wearing anything... but he isn't our employee so it is none off my business what he does.

I wouldn't call it a trip exactly... but let me just say we were ALL so stoked to actually ride our bikes after all that snow. So relieving.
